What is it with the name Frank? Only recently I reviewed the unrelated Frank Casino, and now we have the strangely named PlayFrank. I think maybe they are going for an “honest and sincere” vibe. But when I headed to this casino’s About us page I was greeted by a cute, one-eyed, ice-cream eating monster, and a confusing story about a man called Frank, his love of the Mega Fortune slot, and his creation of a playground in a wasteland. The story is a little bonkers and I don’t know if it is supposed to be metaphorical or true. Nevertheless I pressed on to see if this casino is worth your time and money.
Software and game selection
Play Frank Casino uses the well known EveryMatrix gaming platform that has grown to become an excellent foundation for building a casino over the past few years. The website itself features the aforementioned cute one-eyed monster prominently, and it is clean, well-designed, and easy to navigate. As I have come to expect from casinos hosted on EveryMatrix’s extensive platform, the game library is stellar. There are games from a multitude of suppliers including the likes of Nyx, WMS, Net Entertainment, Microgaming, Quickspin, Endorphina, Play’n Go, and more.
The games themselves can be sliced and diced via menus that include the game type and suppliers, and through the use of a quick search box that finds games as you type. That is a good thing because by my count there are almost 1100 slot machines in the library, so there’s no risk of a shortage of games for you to browse through. I tried out the site on my iPhone and found that it works well on mobile phones, and you should be good to go on tablets too.
There are an assortment of different progressive jackpots on offer including well known Microgaming games King Cashalot, Fruit Fiesta, and Tunzamunni, as well as Net Ent’s Divine Fortune.
There are also a healthy number of table games available for play, including standards like Blackjack, Baccarat, Caribbean Stud, Roulette, and more. A number of variations are available for these games, which feature some slight rule changes in order to add a little variety. Live dealer games are provided via Evolution Gaming and offer high definition, live streamed, experiences to players. Punters can play Baccarat, Blackjack, and Roulette in real time from Evolution’s studios, and the results are fantastic.
Banking and customer support
The financial system at Play Frank is extensive, as there are multiple eWallet options available for transacting with the casino as well as credit card and local bank transfer methods available. My test withdrawal to a Neteller eWallet account was paid in a little under four hours, which is what I have come to expect from an EveryMatrix casino. You should expect other methods such as credit card withdrawals or bank transfers to take a couple of days to complete though. It should be noted that there is a €10,000 per week and €25,000 per month withdrawal cap, though thankfully this policy does not apply to the withdrawal of winnings from progressive jackpots.
Customer support is available through email and live chat, but it unfortunately does not offer telephone contact numbers. I talked to support rep on the live chat system and asked them a few questions about the bonuses on offer at this casino, including whether the wagering multiplier applied to just the bonus funds or both the deposit and the bonus. They gave me the correct information which was sadly the latter. The team was competent and friendly, which is about all I expect from a live chat support team. They should be able to answer most basic questions you throw their way.
Security, fairness, and responsible gaming
Play Frank encrypts all your data while it travels between your computer and the casino’s server using SSL encryption. This standard is used by sites of all types including banks, as it is the safest way currently known to transmit sensitive data over the internet. This encryption applies at all times while you are browsing, playing, and performing any banking transactions.
PlayFrank operates under a white label agreement with EveryMatrix, which is licensed to operate by both the Malta Gaming Authority and the United Kingdom Gambling Commission. The casino publishes fairness certifications from eCOGRA, Technical Systems Testing, and Gaming Laboratories International which are various auditors engaged to analyse the random number generators used by many of the games on the site. It does not however publish the RTP numbers for any of its games aside from those that disclose them in-game, nor does it publish any audited payout percentage figures for months in the past.
Responsible gaming controls are available for those of you that prefer to set limits on your gaming activity. Inside your account settings area of the website you can place limits on various things including deposit, wagering, and time spent on the site. You may also request temporary or permanent self exclusion. That reminds me to mention that players have reported problems with the self exclusion process at EveryMatrix casinos, mainly because it is not made clear that if you self exclude from one casino running on the platform, you will be excluded from all the others, even if they are run by a different operator. So if you have self excluded from another EveryMatrix casino in the past it is unlikely that you will be allowed to play at this one.
Conclusion
PlayFrank Casino is yet another in the seemingly endless line of similar casinos with weird names, but I think it more than makes up for this by offering a solid overall experience. I enjoyed most aspects of this casino, including the large game library and good banking options. If the lack of phone support isn’t a show stopper for you then I think you will find PlayFrank is well worth a look.
